Required Copywriter skills and experience:
As a Copywriter, you’ll play a key role in shaping brand messaging, telling compelling stories, and creating content that connects with audiences. Whether it’s website copy, social media posts, or email campaigns, your words will inspire action and elevate brand identity.
What You’ll Be Doing
Content Creation & Strategy – Write website copy, blog posts, email campaigns, paid ads, video scripts, pitch decks, and social media content that captivates and converts.
Brand Voice & Tone – Maintain a consistent tone of voice across all written materials, ensuring brand cohesion.
SEO & Content Optimisation – Incorporate keyword research and SEO best practices to enhance content discoverability.
Research & Trend Analysis – Stay ahead of industry trends, audience insights, and content best practices.
Collaboration & Execution – Work closely with marketing managers, designers, and strategists to bring campaigns to life.
Editing & Proofreading – Ensure all content is polished, accurate, and free from grammatical errors while adhering to brand guidelines.
Client-Focused Writing – Follow client briefs, conduct industry research, and craft content that resonates with target audiences.
What We’re Looking For
Writing & Content Expertise – Diploma/Degree in a related field, with 2+ years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or a related role.
Creative & Strategic Thinker – Ability to adapt to different brand voices and create content that engages and converts.
SEO & Digital Copywriting Skills – Strong understanding of keyword placement, SEO best practices, and digital marketing strategies.
Editing & Proofreading Mastery – Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and formatting.
Strong Research & Analytical Abilities – Ability to craft well-researched content that is relevant, accurate, and insightful.
Adaptability & Tech-Savviness – Willingness to learn new tools and platforms.
Collaboration & Communication – A team player with outstanding communication skills.
Portfolio Required – A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of writing styles, from long-form blogs to short-form ad copy.
South African Citizen or Permanent Resident – This role is location-specific, and you need to be legally allowed to work in South Africa.
