A Pet Services company is seeking a Social Media & Marketing Virtual Assistant to manage and grow the company’s online presence. With 22 dog walkers on the team, the business already has a wealth of pet-related images and videos that can be repurposed into engaging marketing campaigns.
The VA will focus primarily on Facebook marketing, with secondary support for Instagram and exploration of LinkedIn to target busy professionals. The role involves content creation, social media management, engagement, and the flexibility to expand into email marketing and other initiatives as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow company social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Develop creative marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and attract new clients
Create branded graphics, reels, and posts using Canva (content provided by the team)
Schedule posts, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and DMs
Suggest and request additional photos/videos from the pet care team to support campaigns
Explore LinkedIn as a platform for reaching professional client demographics
Support email marketing campaigns and other initiatives as assigned
Flexibility to take on additional admin or business support tasks if expanded to full-time
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in social media management & marketing
Portfolio of previous social media or marketing work
Strong Facebook marketing expertise (ads, community growth, engagement)
Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools
Excellent written English and communication skills
Ability to work independently and proactively suggest strategies
Comfort with tracking and reporting analytics to measure results
Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with LinkedIn marketing or professional networking outreach
Email marketing experience (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
Prior experience in pet care or lifestyle industries
