The underwriter does new quotations for brokers with our various insurers.The underwriter would furthermore refer unfavourable risks in accordance with the prescribed underwriting guidelines and policy wording. Doing daily amendments to a client’s existing cover, as well as processing renewals of policies forms part of the day-to-day responsibilities of an underwriter. Mercury strictly liaises directly with Brokers, and not the client/ policy holder/ Direct MarketOur client is focused on service delivery and achieving top class turn-around times
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- General queries.
- Loading new quotations
- Follow up new quotations
- Alterations.
- Client and broker correspondence.
- Confirmation of previous cover.
- Follow up on outstanding policy information.
- Uploading inspection, tracking and valuation certificates.
- Telephonic quotations on existing policies.
- Renewals.
- NCB adjustments and confirmations.
- Managing large broker portfolios and premiums
- Capturing new business policies.
- Capturing book takeovers.
- Uploading inspection, tracking and valuation certificates.
- Daily, Weekly & Monthly reporting
QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- FAIS Accreditation - FETC / NQF 4 150 Credits (Minimum)
- RE 5 - Representatives Exams
PREFERRED SKILLS- Computer Literate: Word / Excel / Outlook
- Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant short term insurance policy wording
REMUNERATION PACKAGER15,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month CTCADDITIONAL NOTES & REQUIREMENTS - Being able to speak multiple languages will be an advantage
- Stable and adequate Internet facilities / connection
- Dedicated workspace
- Smartphone for using our telephone system etc.
