Our law firm is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Marketing Operations Manager with a strong focus on Training and Onboarding to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive onboarding program for marketing professionals within our law firm.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in digital marketing (SEO, PPC, Social Media, Content), combined with a solid foundation in operations, process-building, and team development. This role will be critical to ensuring that new hires are effectively trained, evaluated, and integrated into the marketing team for long-term success.
To ensure optimal productivity and efficiency, Time Doctor will be utilized to track work hours and monitor team productivity. This tool is essential for fostering accountability, enhancing performance tracking, and ensuring alignment with the firm’s goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and Manage Marketing Onboarding Program
- Design and implement a structured 4-6 week onboarding program tailored to various marketing roles (SEO, PPC, Social Media, Content).
- Create hands-on, role-specific assignments (e.g., running PPC campaigns, crafting SEO strategies) to provide practical learning experiences.
- Build and implement assessments to evaluate competency and performance at each stage of the onboarding process.
Screen and Assess Talent During Onboarding
- Develop a system of real-world task simulations to assess the skills of new hires early in the onboarding process.
- Set clear benchmarks for success and failure points, identifying and addressing underperformance proactively.
Collaborate with Department Heads
- Partner with marketing leads to define role-specific skills, KPIs, and growth objectives.
- Ensure that onboarding programs align with long-term departmental needs and performance goals.
Design Long-Term Training and Development Programs
- Create ongoing training initiatives to foster skill development, including certifications and advanced learning in areas such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEO, and more.
- Organize and manage quarterly performance reviews with clear growth metrics to guide employee development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Marketing Expertise:
- Proven experience in SEO, PPC, Social Media Advertising, and Content Marketing.
- In-depth knowledge of digital platforms and current marketing trends.
- Demonstrated success in managing or building high-performing marketing teams.
Operations and Process Expertise:
- Strong experience in creating and managing structured onboarding, training, and performance evaluation processes.
- Ability to develop competency frameworks and practical, role-specific assessments for marketing positions.
Leadership and Communication Skills:
- Strong coaching and mentorship abilities, with a passion for helping others succeed.
- Capable of working independently, designing processes, and effectively communicating with various stakeholders.
Education and Certifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, or Organizational Development (preferred but not required).
- Relevant certifications, such as Google Skillshop (Google Ads), Meta Blueprint, HubSpot Academy, or SEMrush Academy (preferred).
