Overview:
Indie Consulting is looking for a part-time Digital Marketing Specialist (Contractor) to join our strategy team for 20 hours per week, with potential for long-term or full-time opportunities. This role blends hands-on digital execution with broader strategic thinking. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, enjoys connecting data to decision-making, and has experience across eCommerce, DTC, martech, and lifecycle marketing.
For this contract, you’ll own the strategic operations of a first-party data (1PD) program for a global CPG leader. This role is central to keeping the workstream running smoothly across multiple brands, with responsibilities spanning project coordination, platform maintenance, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
This is an ideal role for someone with sharp attention to detail, strong process instincts, and comfort working across cross-functional teams and various martech tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Program Coordination & Execution
- Partner with client digital specialists to understand the role of 1PD within current lifecycle marketing strategies and find areas for improvement / opportunity.
- Maintain and update centralized trackers for 1PD testing, business goals, and audience builds across 5+ brands
- Schedule and run recurring working sessions with client leads; document key actions and ensure timely follow-up
- Support the implementation of 1PD use cases and lifecycle marketing initiative
- Serve as the go-to contact for coordinating tasks across strategy, technical, and analytics teams
Consumer Data Platform & Analysis Support
- Support trait/tag QA in CDP to ensure taxonomy consistency and proper data flows
- Help manage the collective audience library, ensuring builds align to strategic use cases
- Coordinate and support data pulls from analytics tool for reporting and KPI tracking
- Maintain documentation for platform use, best practices, and naming conventions
Reporting & Knowledge Sharing
- Draft monthly recap decks for internal and external stakeholders
- Package and share mini case studies and “wins” from completed 1PD activations
- Maintain updated SOPs, process documents, and test-and-learn playbooks
Communication & Documentation
- Act as the operational liaison between Indie, internal client stakeholders, and agency partners
- Keep Slack threads, decks, shared folders, and project tools well-organized and up-to-date
Ensure centralized visibility of project progress and cross-brand insights
Additional Marketing Strategy
- Implement martech tools (CDPs, ESPs, analytics platforms) and identify optimization opportunities
- Build customer journeys and segmentation strategies based on first-party and behavioral data
- Partner with strategy leads on go-to-market plans, test-and-learn agendas, and content journeys
Stay current on emerging marketing technologies, AI capabilities, and best practices to bring fresh thinking to client work
