  • Start date: Sept 2 or shortly after 
  • Contract: 3-4 months to start with possibility to extend into and throughout next year 
  • Time commitment: 25-30 hrs/week 

Job Description

We're seeking a hands-on B2B Marketing Manager who thrives on execution and can work across multiple brands simultaneously. "This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior marketer who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. The right candidate will take strong strategies and transform them into market-ready campaigns, ensuring content and brand efforts move from concept to execution quickly and effectively."

Key Responsibilities 

Multi-Brand Campaign Execution 

  • Develop and maintain a clear narrative for the venture firm as the umbrella brand while also supporting individual venture brands

  • Execute comprehensive marketing campaigns (e.g., white papers, blogs, webinars, events, LinkedIn campaigns) for the firm and 3-4 active portfolio companies

  • Personally manage social media posting, primarily LinkedIn content creation and scheduling

  • Coordinate content production including working with freelance creative director and PR consultant

  • Support marketing initiatives across multiple ventures, flexing quickly to meet shifting needs (e.g., webinars, product launches, campaign sprints)."

Content Development & Management 

  • Break down large content pieces (white papers, case studies) into blog posts, social content, and campaign materials

  • Write and edit marketing copy for various formats and audiences

  • Manage content calendars across multiple brands and platforms

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop authentic, industry-specific content

Campaign Operations & Coordination 

  • Manage marketing tech stack and campaign tracking across multiple brands

  • Coordinate events and webinars from planning through execution

  • Handle vendor management including creative resources and potential paid advertising

  • Maintain project timelines and deliverables across competing priorities

Qualifications

Core Marketing Experience

  • 5-8 years B2B (startup or VC preferred) marketing experience with hands-on campaign execution

  • Direct experience managing social media accounts and content creation (specifically LinkedIn)

  • Content marketing background including writing, editing, and content strategy

  • "Strong track record of executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, not just developing strategy."

  • "Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously with agility and speed."

Industry Background (Preferred but not Required)

  • B2B SaaS, AI/tech, or venture capital marketing experience helpful but not essential

  • SMB market knowledge a plus

  • Understanding of sales cycles and lead generation in B2B environments

Technical & Operational Skills

  • Proficiency with marketing tools (social media schedulers, email platforms, basic analytics)

  • Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple competing priorities

  • Excellent writing and editing abilities with attention to detail

  • Comfort with AI tools for content creation and productivity

Essential Soft Skills

  • Extreme adaptability - comfortable with constant context switching between brands

  • Self-starter mentality - can take existing strategies and run with minimal oversight

  • Collaborative approach - works well with small, lean teams and external contractors

  • Urgency and pace - operates at startup speed with quick turnarounds

  • Act as the “doer” who takes strategy and translates it into execution, ensuring campaigns move forward without burdening the lean internal team."

Additional Information

What You'll Have to Work With

  • Existing marketing strategies developed by previous fractional CMO (don't need to start from scratch)

  • Freelance creative director for design and creative direction

  • PR consultant  for events and public relations

  • Go-to-market team members for collaboration and support

  • Leadership support but strong expectation of independent execution

Scope & Expectations

  • 25-30 hours per week with flexibility for project phases

  • Immediate impact expected - hit the ground running with existing strategies

  • Multi-brand focus - the VC brand + 3-4 active portfolio companies

  • High autonomy with regular check-ins and collaborative support

  • Specialists who need deep industry expertise before contributing
