Job Responsibilities:  

  • Create engaging, original, organic content for Ithaca College Admission social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, and ZeeMee) 
  • Research social media trends and tactics and develop ways to incorporate them into IC's social media  
  • Attend small- and large-scale events to gather photo and video content
  • Utilize Canva and video editing tools to produce social media posts that follow IC's brand standards  
  • Communicate with students, faculty and staff to arrange takeovers, photoshoots, and video productions 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Passionate about the social media industry and Ithaca College 
  • Experience with posting to social media platforms 
  • Photo and video experience — editing knowledge is a plus 
  • Graphic design know-how (just a bit, no need to be an expert!) 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (spelling and grammar are very important in this role) 
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive  

Pay Rate: $15.65

This position will be intimately involved with Ithaca College Admission communications and campaigns, so be ready to build a strong working relationship with your supervisor and other student employees. Social media is fun but, this role is intentionally focused on communicating the Ithaca College student experience and the admission process to prospective students and their supporters.
