Job Title: Spanish II Teacher Resources Designer

Job Summary: The Virtual Arkansas Teacher Resources Designer creates clear, practical, teacher-facing support materials that help instructors successfully use and facilitate an existing course. This role focuses on developing a standard set of reference-style resources, such as guides, answer keys, technical “how-to” documents, and instructional slide decks, that mirror the type of resources commonly provided by curriculum vendors.
The Teacher Resources Designer does not design curriculum or modify student-facing content. Instead, this role translates existing course functionality, structure, and expectations into easy-to-use resources that reduce teacher confusion and support consistent course implementation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Produce a standard bundle of teacher-facing resources for the assigned course, including:
- Course or module overview documents
- Answer keys
- Blended learning or facilitation guides
- Teacher slide decks for synchronous online instruction and optional face-to-face use, as applicable
- Short technical “how-to” documents supporting common teacher tasks
- Ensure all teacher resources:
- Accurately reflect existing course content and functionality
- Use clear, plain language
- Are easy to read and follow
- Create concise technical support documents addressing common workflows such as:
- Viewing student participation
- Viewing student quiz or concept check answers
- Recalculating or syncing grades
- Using built-in accessibility or translation tools
- Collaborate with project team members to:
- Confirm the accuracy of documented workflows
- Incorporate visuals or screenshots when helpful
- Ensure teacher resources are placed appropriately within the LMS
- Use AI tools, when appropriate, to assist with drafting, organizing, or simplifying teacher-facing materials
- Revise materials based on feedback from project leads
- Meet project deadlines and communicate progress as needed
- Abide by all Virtual Arkansas and applicable Arch Ford ESC policies and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain processes clearly and concisely
- Ability to create user-friendly documentation and reference materials
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with online learning environments and LMS tools
- Comfort creating slide decks and basic instructional visuals
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and project team members
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, including AI-assisted tools
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Master’s degree preferred
- Experience teaching online or supporting online instruction preferred
- Experience creating instructional documentation, guides, or training materials highly desirable
- Familiarity with synchronous online teaching tools and workflows
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, practical guides and slide decks
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Periodic travel requirements

- Use hands to handle or feel, type, and pick up objects, and reach with hands and arms;
- Talk or hear to communicate effectively
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

- Compensation: $4000 minus applicable taxes, retirement, and fees
