Description

The Social Media Specialist will manage and execute social media strategy, creating compelling content that educates and mobilizes supporters. This part-time role requires a creative individual with understanding of social media platforms and trends, and a willingness to appear on camera for short-form video content. This role reports to the Social Media Coordinator and will work between 5-20 hours per week.

Requirements
  • Develop and implement engaging social media content across all platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, etc).
  • Create and edit short-form videos featuring breaking news, educational content about Article V, and engaging Instagram Stories.
  • Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content performance.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and build a strong online community.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to align social media efforts with overall organizational and cross departmental goals.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with social media.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in creating and editing short-form video content in apps such as CapCut or other video editing apps. 
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and recording videos.
  • Strong understanding of the mission and vision of Convention of States Foundation and Citizens for Self-Governance. 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
