Mediatech, one of Europe’s fastest-growing media houses, is seeking a skilled Senior Writer/Editor to join its latest venture. This new publication aims to rival industry leaders like CNBC, using a more data-driven approach to journalism.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

    • Work closely with the Managing Editor and Senior Editor to ensure the editorial team produces high-quality, timely, and accurate content that aligns with our editorial vision
    • Contribute to shaping the editorial direction, ensuring the content is data-driven, engaging, and addresses emerging trends in global finance
    • Provide editorial guidance and mentorship to a team of investment journalists, ensuring content meets editorial standards and is both accessible and informative for readers
    • Review and edit articles on complex investment topics, ensuring they are fact-checked, clearly written, and engaging for a diverse readership
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as design, and marketing, to enhance the content’s reach and engagement
    • Stay informed about the latest developments in finance and investment, providing strategic insights to shape the publication’s coverage

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE

    • A degree in journalism, finance, economics, political science or a related field. 
    • 5+ years of editorial experience, preferably in investment or financial journalism
    • A deep understanding of global investment trends, including stocks, cryptocurrencies, economic indicators, and market movements
    • Strong editorial judgment, with the ability to refine content for clarity, accuracy, and engagement
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
    • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to produce analytical, data-driven contentExperience working in a fast-paced newsroom environment is an advantage
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • A proactive, goal-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and a passion for investment journalism
